Youth Leadership Henry, a countywide leadership program for high school sophomores, is designed to develop leadership potential and to acquaint participants with community needs, problems, and resources through interaction with local leaders and decision makers.

Youth Leadership Henry is an outgrowth of Leadership Henry, the successful program for the development of adult leaders.  The Leadership Henry Alumni of 1995 believed that a similar program for high school students would be beneficial to the youth in this area and to the community as a whole, and formed this program.

The Youth Leadership Henry program allows participants to interact with community leaders in examining a variety of issues that affect Henry County.  Participants will gain insight into the complex decision-making process that is essential in addressing community issues, and they will learn more about the cultural and economic opportunities and resources available within this area.
